Fernando Casillas Bernal


Fernando comes from Mexico and is a graduate from the M.Sc. Environmental Governance program from the Albert-Ludwigs-Universität Freiburg, in Germany. With knowledge on social entrepreneurship, innovation and climate-change adaptation (Climate-KIC The Journey Summer School), sustainable food systems (World Food System Centre Summer School from ETH Zürich) and the agro-energy nexus (Powering Agriculture: An Energy Grand Challenge for Development- GIZ). His goal as Partnerships Manager is to find more professional, business development and research opportunities for our alumni with our established partners. Objectives for this position during 2018:

Consolidate synergies with the EIT-Community (Climate-KIC, Digital, Food, Health, InnoEnergy, Raw Materials) that allow for joint event or project creation and/or participation;

Establish and manage an updated alumni database based on our unique skills and competences;

Promote the CKAA at both EIT-Community and external events
